What a fantastic find this B&B was! It exceeded all of our expectations. Jane is the most wonderful hostess who cooks the most amazing breakfast! The accommodation is tastefully furnished and spotless. We will certainly be recommending this B&B to friends and family.

Jane Steeley. You meet her, you like her, its that simple. We only stayed the one night in the attic rooms, but can safely say it is certainly the best B&B we have stayed in bar none. Home from Home with extras! We are going to send Jane a new pair of socks to walk around in though... :-) When we come back, we stay here. Best eclectic conversation had over breakfast...breakfast excellent by the way. Stay - you'll love it.

We really had a very comfortable and pleasant stay Jane made us so welcome, made us feel like we had known her for a long time.
What an experience it was to stay in such a beautiful and homely B&B. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt very honoured at the trusting nature of Jane which made it feel like home from home especially with her daughter and Bob the cat.
We wish you all the best, and looking forward to our next stay. -
We've just had such an amazing time staying at No.2. Very welcoming. Great room (Provencale), great breakfasts (actually, the best had in a B&B!) and amazing hospitality. Highly recommended!

Having just spent a weekend at no 2 Broadgate, we would recommend this B&B. From the warm welcome when we arrived, to the wonderful breakfasts and full use of the garden, this is a real "home from home". The only negative was that we wanted to bring Bob the cat back to Suffolk with us, but Jane wouldn't let us (I think she may have locked him away somewhere until after we had left) !!

Our brief visit seemed more like a stay with friends than a B&B and I would recommend your guest house to anybody. Clean,spaciouse and with the full run of the house and garden with its delightful view,you dont have to leave the house to feel like you're on holiday.Breakfast was a treat and your home made welcome chocolate cake was superb [we had the last slice when we got home.]We will be back,you can depend on it. Thank you Jane and fondest regards to BOB.

Thank you Jane for a relaxed and very pleasant stay at your B&B. Stayed two nights in the Provencale room which was very spacious, light and comfortable. Can recommend an evening meal with Jane, the food was delicious and presented beautifully.

The only thing I would of wanted more out of our stay would of been able to stay an extra couple of days. No2 Broadgate is simply beautiful and that comes from our beautiful host Jane and her delightful daughter. From the moment I meet Jane I knew I had picked the right spot for us, it was like meeting an old friend again, nothing was a bother. Jane I wish you all the best in your business you have done all the right things so far, keep up the great work and hopefully if we every get back down your way, you will be the first place I look up. We enjoyed our visit so much we felt it was important to say so!! We've never highly recommended a guest house before now! Very welcoming, beautiful rooms, good food and a must if you are looking for accommodation in this area. Thank you Jane, you deserve a good long busy season!

We really enjoyed our stay at no.2 Broadgate! The house was tastefully decorated and had some very interesting pieces of furniture dotted around. We stayed in the Attic rooms which were very spacious. Jane was very welcoming, and made us feel comfortable and relaxed about coming and going as we pleased! Definitely a little gem of a place to stay in and we highly recommend it!

We will now be comparing all our future B+B stays with No 2 Broadgate. I have a feeling few will live up to the beautiful environment and peaceful retreat Jane has created. If we are ever in Barnstaple again, we will definetly want to stay here. We highly recommend it.

We stayed at this beautiful guesthouse for a 3 night stay in Sept 2010. Two night’s bed and breakfast and one night bed breakfast plus evening meal. Jane made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we stepped foot into the place. The guest house is spotless and decorated in a truly elegant manner. Dotted around are Janes finds from her previous travels which give it a unique and intriguing feel. We stayed in the provencale room which was huge and had a real luxurious feel. The furniture and decor are first class. Jane had even laid on some cakes, fresh strawberries and tea/coffee in our room upon our arrival. This guesthouse is small and personal and very relaxing. We took our small cocker spaniel with us and Jane was very accommodating.
We enjoyed the delightful breakfasts including the selection of fresh fruits and coffees on offer as well as the home cooked breakfast. The food is a real treat and we recommend you go ahead and indulge in a home cooked fine dining experience by booking evening meal at Broadgate. Jane e.mailed us in advance and gave us a choice of menu we pre ordered and the quality of produce used and Janes cooking certainly did not disappoint. The meal was absolutely delicious (in particular the Chocolate puddings). Thanks Jane for a fantastic few days. We will definitely be recommending you to friends and family and will be returning! -
No 2 Broadgate is in such a convenient and peaceful location.The Provencale room is spacious and beautifully decorated, like the rest of the house. Jane is friendly and helpful. She prepared us a superb meal for our wedding anniversary.We would certainly recommend a visit to all our friends.

What a hidden treasure we managed to find. We had a lovely romantic stay in the Attic Room. We had an extremely comfortable bed and our rooftop room was decorated to a luxurious standard, plenty of space, like a mini apartment! Our host Jane could not do enough for us, she was very friendly and relaxed and made our stay memorable. Delicious breakfast and even a cream tea on arrival. We would highly recommend No 2 Broadgate to all our friends and family.

No.2 Broadgate provides a truly unique experience from the moment you step through the big blue doors! The interior is where vintage glamour meets contemporary style in a relaxed and welcoming way from the comfortable beds to the thick white towels. The artwork is fun and certainly deserves a second look!
Jane is a lovely hostess and with wonderful surf beaches close by – I enjoyed my first surf lesson – my stay was just perfect! -

No 2 Broadgate has provided a perfect break, chance to relax and take time out from my busy schedule. The amenities were well catered for and I was surprised to be made to feel so at home. Jane’s cooking was sensational and she was most helpful when organising a romantic and exhilarating horse riding experience – she even baby sat for us! The Attic Rooms were spacious and clean and we had plenty of liberating space for our children to play. I can’t wait to come back for our next North Devon stay!!!

No 2 Broadgate made our stay in Barnstaple a memorable one, the Provencale room was simply wonderful and the evening dinner that Jane cooked was sublime. Thanks and we will recommend you to all our friends in Sweden!

What a beautiful place! Takes you by surprise when you come in. Perfect for a quiet stay for my business trip and only a couple of minutes to the town centre. The hosptitality was outstanding and Jane's local knowledge was really helpful. Many thanks, hope you have a space for me again!
